Day 1: Arrival at Govindghat (6,000 ft)
Reach Govindghat directly by road. Check into a cozy homestay. Enjoy evening tea with snacks, followed by dinner. Acclimatize and prepare for the trek ahead amidst scenic Himalayan surroundings.
Day 2: Drive to Pulna, Trek to Ghangaria (9,800 ft)
A short 4 km drive to Pulna marks the trailhead. Begin a 9 km trek alongside the Pushpawati River with moderate ascents. Reach Ghangaria by afternoon and rest at a guesthouse or campsite.
Day 3: Trek to Valley of Flowers and back to Ghangaria
Start early for a 3.5 km trek into the vibrant Valley of Flowers (11,500 ft). Wander through meadows bursting with alpine flowers like blue poppies and brahmakamal. Spend 3–4 hours exploring before returning to Ghangaria for the night.
Day 4: Trek to Hemkund Sahib and back to Ghangaria
A steep 6 km ascent leads to Hemkund Sahib (14,200 ft), a revered Sikh shrine beside a glacial lake. Witness serene prayers and panoramic views. Descend the same path back to Ghangaria by late afternoon. Physically demanding day.
Day 5: Trek down to Pulna, Drive to Govindghat
Descend the same 9 km trail to Pulna and drive back to Govindghat. Option to visit Badrinath (if time and weather permit). Rest and recover in a comfortable guesthouse.
Day 6: Depart from Govindghat
After breakfast, check out and depart for Haridwar/Rishikesh by road. You can also continue your Uttarakhand journey with add-ons like Badrinath or Auli.
